Teambuilding

Community Kitchen’s corporate volunteering sessions are a great way for groups to foster a sense of teamwork while giving back to the local community.

Join us and play your part

Community Kitchen organises teambuilding experiences for businesses and other groups. Corporate volunteers spend a day or half-day preparing meals for the most vulnerable in our community.

Are you looking for creative ways to strengthen your team?

Cooking

Working under the direction of our kitchen manager, a team of 4 or 5 volunteers can prepare a meal for up to 600 people at the Humanitarian Hub.

Veg Prep

We use up to 200 kilos of vegetables every week, including a lot of unsold items from markets that need to be sorted, cleaned and chopped. A team of up to 15 volunteers can prepare this for use in our dish that day or later that week.

Portioning

A team of 8 to 10 volunteers can portion the meal of the day into individual containers, which are then despatched to the Humanitarian Hub for the midday meal.
